Chapter 97 of the Quran, titled Al-Qadr (Destiny), describes the night on which the Quran was revealed. From 2:185, we know that this revelation occurred during the month of Ramadan:

The language of Chapter 97 answers this clearly: the chapter speaks in the present tense, not the past. This indicates that the Night of Destiny is an ongoing, recurring night, observed every year during Ramadan.

Although the Quran does not explicitly state the calendar date, it provides internal mathematical and structural evidence pointing decisively to the 27th night of Ramadan. What follows is a comprehensive presentation of that evidence, organized in three parts.
