‹ Sura 94 - Al-Sharrhh

In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

بِسْمِbis'miٱللَّهِl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmi

[94:1] Did we not cool your temper?

أَلَمْalamنَشْرَحْnashraḥلَكَlakaصَدْرَكَṣadraka ﴿١﴾

[94:2] And we unloaded your load (of sins).

وَوَضَعْنَاwawaḍaʿnāعَنكَʿankaوِزْرَكَwiz'raka ﴿٢﴾

[94:3] One that burdened your back.

ٱلَّذِىٓalladhīأَنقَضَanqaḍaظَهْرَكَẓahraka ﴿٣﴾

[94:4] We exalted you to an honorable position.

وَرَفَعْنَاwarafaʿnāلَكَlakaذِكْرَكَdhik'raka ﴿٤﴾

[94:5] With pain there is gain.

فَإِنَّfa-innaمَعَmaʿaٱلْعُسْرِl-ʿus'riيُسْرًاyus'ran ﴿٥﴾

[94:6] Indeed, with pain there is gain.

إِنَّinnaمَعَmaʿaٱلْعُسْرِl-ʿus'riيُسْرًاyus'ran ﴿٦﴾

[94:7] Whenever possible you shall strive.

فَإِذَاfa-idhāفَرَغْتَfaraghtaفَٱنصَبْfa-inṣab ﴿٧﴾

[94:8] Seeking only your Lord.

وَإِلَىٰwa-ilāرَبِّكَrabbikaفَٱرْغَبfa-ir'ghab ﴿٨﴾
