In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
بِسْمِbis'miٱللَّهِl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmi
[92:1] By the night as it covers.
وَٱلَّيْلِwa-al-layliإِذَاidhāيَغْشَىٰyaghshā ﴿١﴾
[92:2] The day as it reveals.
وَٱلنَّهَارِwal-nahāriإِذَاidhāتَجَلَّىٰtajallā ﴿٢﴾
[92:3] And Him who created the male and the female.
وَمَاwamāخَلَقَkhalaqaٱلذَّكَرَl-dhakaraوَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓwal-unthā ﴿٣﴾
[92:4] Your works are of various kinds.
إِنَّinnaسَعْيَكُمْsaʿyakumلَشَتَّىٰlashattā ﴿٤﴾
[92:5] As for him who gives to charity and maintains righteousness.
فَأَمَّاfa-ammāمَنْmanأَعْطَىٰaʿṭāوَٱتَّقَىٰwa-ittaqā ﴿٥﴾
[92:6] And upholds the scripture.
وَصَدَّقَwaṣaddaqaبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰbil-ḥus'nā ﴿٦﴾
[92:7] We will direct him towards happiness.
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥfasanuyassiruhuلِلْيُسْرَىٰlil'yus'rā ﴿٧﴾
[92:8] But he who is stingy, though he is rich.
وَأَمَّاwa-ammāمَنۢmanبَخِلَbakhilaوَٱسْتَغْنَىٰwa-is'taghnā ﴿٨﴾
[92:9] And disbelieves in the scripture.
وَكَذَّبَwakadhabaبِٱلْحُسْنَىٰbil-ḥus'nā ﴿٩﴾
[92:10] We will direct him towards misery.
فَسَنُيَسِّرُهُۥfasanuyassiruhuلِلْعُسْرَىٰlil'ʿus'rā ﴿١٠﴾
[92:11] His money cannot help him when he falls.
وَمَاwamāيُغْنِىyugh'nīعَنْهُʿanhuمَالُهُۥٓmāluhuإِذَاidhāتَرَدَّىٰٓtaraddā ﴿١١﴾
[92:12] We provide the guidance.
إِنَّinnaعَلَيْنَاʿalaynāلَلْهُدَىٰlalhudā ﴿١٢﴾
[92:13] We control the Hereafter, as well as this life.
وَإِنَّwa-innaلَنَاlanāلَلْـَٔاخِرَةَlalākhirataوَٱلْأُولَىٰwal-ūlā ﴿١٣﴾
[92:14] I have warned you about the blazing Hellfire.
فَأَنذَرْتُكُمْfa-andhartukumنَارًاnāranتَلَظَّىٰtalaẓẓā ﴿١٤﴾
[92:15] None burns therein except the wicked.
لَاlāيَصْلَىٰهَآyaṣlāhāإِلَّاillāٱلْأَشْقَىl-ashqā ﴿١٥﴾
[92:16] Who disbelieves and turns away.
ٱلَّذِىalladhīكَذَّبَkadhabaوَتَوَلَّىٰwatawallā ﴿١٦﴾
[92:17] Avoiding it will be the righteous.
وَسَيُجَنَّبُهَاwasayujannabuhāٱلْأَتْقَىl-atqā ﴿١٧﴾
[92:18] Who gives from his money to charity.
ٱلَّذِىalladhīيُؤْتِىyu'tīمَالَهُۥmālahuيَتَزَكَّىٰyatazakkā ﴿١٨﴾
[92:19] Seeking nothing in return.
وَمَاwamāلِأَحَدٍli-aḥadinعِندَهُۥʿindahuمِنminنِّعْمَةٍniʿ'matinتُجْزَىٰٓtuj'zā ﴿١٩﴾
[92:20] Seeking only his Lord, the Most High.
إِلَّاillāٱبْتِغَآءَib'tighāaوَجْهِwajhiرَبِّهِrabbihiٱلْأَعْلَىٰl-aʿlā ﴿٢٠﴾
[92:21] He will certainly attain salvation.
وَلَسَوْفَwalasawfaيَرْضَىٰyarḍā ﴿٢١﴾
