‹ Sura 107 - Al-Maa‘oon

In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

بِسْمِbis'miٱللَّهِl-lahiٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmi

[107:1] Do you know who really rejects the faith?

أَرَءَيْتَara-aytaٱلَّذِىalladhīيُكَذِّبُyukadhibuبِٱلدِّينِbil-dīni ﴿١﴾

[107:2] That is the one who mistreats the orphans.

فَذَٰلِكَfadhālikaٱلَّذِىalladhīيَدُعُّyaduʿʿuٱلْيَتِيمَl-yatīma ﴿٢﴾

[107:3] And does not advocate the feeding of the poor.

وَلَاwalāيَحُضُّyaḥuḍḍuعَلَىٰʿalāطَعَامِṭaʿāmiٱلْمِسْكِينِl-mis'kīni ﴿٣﴾

[107:4] And woe to those who observe the contact prayers (Salat) -

فَوَيْلٌfawaylunلِّلْمُصَلِّينَlil'muṣallīna ﴿٤﴾

[107:5] who are totally heedless of their prayers.

ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaهُمْhumعَنʿanصَلَاتِهِمْṣalātihimسَاهُونَsāhūna ﴿٥﴾

[107:6] They only show off.

ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaهُمْhumيُرَآءُونَyurāūna ﴿٦﴾

[107:7] And they forbid charity.

وَيَمْنَعُونَwayamnaʿūnaٱلْمَاعُونَl-māʿūna ﴿٧﴾
