Clarification 21 - The Initials as a Crisis Calendar

Part of Alban Fejza: Refutations - The "Clarifications"

I. His Conclusions, and How He Reaches Them

Clarification 21, "Explaining the Quranic Initials, Predicting the Future," announces that the meaning of the fourteen Quranic Initials stayed undecoded for fourteen centuries until Alban Fejza. His scheme has three layers. First, a list: the Quran allegedly "calls these letters" a decree, record, guidance, remembrance, wisdom, truth, mercy, good news, a test, and a warning. Second, a picture: each initial's ancestral Phoenician pictogram is a sector of modern civilization - the ox is the Economy, the water is Energy, "the fish is the Internet" - assembled into a farm scene that "represents the whole earth." Third, a calendar: each initial set's gematrical value counts lunar years from "the time when he was given these letters" to a global crisis in those sectors - fourteen crises from 2019 to 2269, plus a bonus "war between the Mahdi and Antichrist" in 2275/76, with COVID-19 presented as the first fulfilled entry. The closing paragraph states what the believers should do with God's decree: use it "by investing appropriately or withdrawing the investments before those crises happen, and thus use the opportunity to avoid loses, get rich, give charity, and ultimately win." Note the title's own word. Scripture prophesies; the title says "predicting" - and the prophecy table itself hedges like a forecaster, not a decree: "Information or Security maybe?", "(or Politics)", "(or Edu.)". God's decree, in Alban's rendering, ships with question marks.

II. The Meaning Was Never Missing

His survey of "three groups of scholars" is the tell. Group three - those who found "a mathematical code" whose "frequencies of occurrence prove statistically that the Quran is a revelation from God" - is Rashad Khalifa, God's Messenger of the Covenant, stripped of his name, filed between chanting-rhythm comments, and dismissed: "a great discovery, but it has nothing to do with their meaning." Here is Rashad's footnote on the very first initial, 2:1:

"These initials remained a divinely guarded secret for 1400 years. Now we recognize them as a major component of the Quran's mathematical miracle... The meaning of A.L.M. is pointed out in Verse 2: "This scripture is infallible." This is incontrovertibly proven by the fact that the frequencies of occurrence of these three initials in this sura are 4502, 3202, and 2195, respectively. The sum of these numbers is 9899, or 19x521."

The sum verifies: 4502 + 3202 + 2195 = 9899 = 19 x 521. The footnote does not stop at statistics - it states the meaning: A.L.M. means this scripture is infallible, and the letters prove the claim they make. That is the answer to Alban's rhetorical drumbeat ("What does A.L.M mean?"), published before he was born, in the translation he claims to follow: the initials are God's signature - each set certifies the statement beside it, with arithmetic no human could plant. And the Quran's own grammar agrees. In every verse where Rashad's rendering attaches a descriptor to the letters themselves, it is one word: proofs - "These (letters) are the proofs of this book of wisdom" (10:1), "proofs of this profound scripture" (12:1), "proofs of this scripture" (13:1, 15:1), "proofs of this clarifying scripture" (26:2), "proofs of the Quran" (27:1), "proofs of this profound book" (28:2), "proofs of this book of wisdom" (31:2). Every other title in Alban's list is harvested from what the neighboring verses say about the scripture or the people - not the letters. His "test (trial)" citation, 29:2, is about people being tested - "Do the people think that they will be left to say, 'We believe,' without being put to the test?" under Rashad's header "The Test is Mandatory." His "warning" citation, 11:2, is the proclamation "I come to you from Him as a warner" - under Rashad's header "The Quran: Messenger of God." His "truth" citation, 13:1, says "What is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth" - the truth is the revelation, not a cipher. Adjacency is not predication: by Alban's method of transferring verse 2's words onto verse 1's letters, A.L.M. would also be "no doubt," "a beacon," and everything else Sura 2 says for 286 verses. Even his definitions shift mid-essay: against group one, "a revelation is something which stops being a secret"; three pages later, building the calendar, "a revelation is news from the future." Two inventions, deployed as needed. And quietly, his own list concedes the fight: it includes "Seven Pairs (15:87)" among the initials' names - adopting Rashad's footnote identification of the seven pairs as the fourteen initials, the identification his Clarification 15 denied for seven H.M.s and his Clarification 18 denied for body parts. The tenth reading of 15:87 in his own series is Rashad's - used for exactly one video, then abandoned.

III. The Alphabet Story

The pictogram layer rests on a history that unravels on inspection. "The Phoenician Alphabet is the first alphabet in the world" - two sentences after deriving it from "the Proto-Sinaitic Alphabet, which originated in Sinai." The Greeks allegedly "kept them almost intact until today" - yet his own comparison chart needs Ц, a Cyrillic letter created for the Slavs in the ninth century CE, and qoppa, a letter classical Greek discarded, to fill its rows; the column header reads "Greek Latin/Cyrillic," a grab bag spanning two thousand years and three scripts, assembled backward from the shapes he needed. He concedes mid-essay that his sources are "approximate sciences... not always 100% exact," that Alif may be a whole ox or only its head ("the Stock Market"), the plant agriculture or education, the needle information or "security, maybe" - a decree of God with interpretive shrugs at every joint. And the farm scene itself - ox, farmer, wheel, fish arranged into one picture - is not in the Quran, not in Phoenicia, and not in any inscription: Alban drew it. He composed the jigsaw, then solved it, then marveled at the fit. The decoding layer on top is free association in daylight: "The ox drinks water. The Economy uses Energy. So, water must be the Energy Sector... So what lives inside the energy? Internet. So, the fish is the Internet." By this method the fish could be submarines, sushi, or Pisces; nothing constrains the chain except the destination chosen in advance.

To explain why the Arabic letters "changed so much, they are not recognizable anymore," Alban needs Muhammad unable to write: "the Quran calls the Arabs and Muhammad 'illiterate people' (62:2, 7:157)." Read those verses in Rashad's translation: "He is the One who sent to the gentiles a messenger from among them" (62:2); "follow the messenger, the gentile prophet (Muhammad)" (7:157). Gentiles - nations without scripture - not illiterates; and Rashad devoted Appendix 28, "Muhammad Wrote God's Revelations With His Own Hand," to demolishing the illiteracy myth Alban here recycles from the traditions. His prooftext that revelation was sound-only, 7:204, is the etiquette of listeners during recitation ("When the Quran is recited, you shall listen"), not the mechanics of revelation. And the last Quranic initial answers him in its own verse: [68:1] NuN, the pen, and what they (the people) write. An initial followed by an oath on writing. Best of all, the mathematical miracle itself settles which letters God certified: the counts are counts of the Arabic letters as written in the Arabic text. Per Appendix 1, the letter N in Sura 68 - with "NuN" spelled out as written in the original text - totals 133, 19 x 7; the verses from the first initial (2:1) to the last (68:1) number 5263, 19 x 277; the word "God" between them occurs 2641 times, 19 x 139, leaving exactly 57 - 19 x 3 - outside. All verified. A code that rides on the exact written Arabic letters is God's authentication of those letters; Alban's thesis calls the authenticated script "distorted" and relocates the truth to ox doodles the code never counts. The miracle and the pictogram theory cannot both stand, and only one of them divides by 19.

IV. The God Who "Cannot" Say Economy

Beneath the pictograms sits a theology: God "refuses to use human-made terminology," because concepts like Economy are social constructs and "when we use social constructs, we are always at least partly wrong. So, God who is perfect, refuses to be partly wrong... He informed us about these concepts using symbols, and then He let Alban Fejza decode them, knowing that Alban Fejza is imperfect enough to use concepts which are partially correct." So the Almighty could not name a thing without error, and required a sufficiently imperfect Kosovar as "a bridge between the complete truths and the partial truths of the modern world." The Quran refutes the premise by talking. God names the test categories of history in one plain verse: "We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops" (2:155). God speaks commerce fluently and by name: "GOD permits commerce, and prohibits usury" (2:275); "a business deal" (62:11); "a few Dirhams" (12:20); "a single dinar" (3:75); woe to those who cheat "the measures or weights" (83:1-3); the messenger "walks in the markets" (25:7). The Book that regulates loans to the sentence (2:282) did not need an ox pictogram to mention an economy. And "We made the Quran easy to learn" (54:17) is not the description of a text whose warnings hide in an extinct script's farm shapes, readable only after one man's guided free association. A God too perfect to speak, needing an imperfect decoder to be understood, is not reverence - it is the job description Alban wrote for himself.

V. The Countdown Table

Now the calendar - and here the arithmetic convicts the author on every line. His text fixes the epoch: "He was given these letters in 2005, which is the Hijri or lunar year 1426... let's just take that year, the Hijri year 1426, as the starting point." Add his own values to his own epoch: T.H. is 14, and 1426 + 14 = 1440. His table prints 1441. H.M. is 48, and 1426 + 48 = 1474. His table prints 1475. All fifteen rows - every single one - land one year past the stated epoch plus the value. And the extra year is not a rounding detail; it is the entire miracle. The lone "fulfilled" prediction, COVID-19, sits in Hijri 1441 (September 2019 to August 2020). The year his own arithmetic produces, 1440, ended in August 2019 - before the pandemic existed. Remove the unexplained +1 and the table's only hit becomes a miss; the showcase prophecy was tuned, after the fact, to the one event everyone already knew. And it was published after that event - a prophecy postdated is a memoir. Meanwhile Clarification 15 dated the same "giving" of the same letters to Hijri 1425, computing the Smoke to 1474 - so across his own series, one private moment has now occurred in 1425, 1426, and effectively 1427, and his flagship Smoke year is smeared across 1473, 1474, and 1475 depending on which of his own pages you trust. There is also the matter of what H.M. now predicts: here, an "Environment and Energy" crisis in 2052/53; in Clarification 15, the Smoke - plasma disturbing "phones, electricity, internet"; in Rashad's published words, a massive asteroid. Three catastrophes, one date, no two alike - and the Internet gets its own separate crisis in 2054/55 anyway.

The table's remaining machinery is rule-by-exception. H.M. occurs seven times in the Quran - the sevenfold repetition was the cornerstone of Clarification 15 - but here it is counted once. Sura 42 alone receives a private rule (its two initial sets summed into a "bonus crisis") unavailable to the other six H.M. suras. That bonus, "the war between the Mahdi and Antichrist" in 2275/76, is a war between two figures the Quran never names: Rashad is explicit that the Antichrist is not a Quranic figure (see Clarification 23), the "Mahdi" office was dismantled in Clarification 20 - where Alban's own text had the Mahdi liberating Mecca "peacefully," now upgraded to a world war - and Rashad's footnote on 44:10 leaves exactly two signs before the end: the Smoke, and Gog and Magog. Sunni Armageddon has been imported into the last four years of Rashad's timeline. As for his self-audit - "none of their values goes beyond the year 2280... additional confirmation that this table is correct" - the largest initial value is 278, so the no-overshoot test is passed by every epoch from the Hijra to 1432. Roughly ninety-nine percent of all possible starting years "confirm" the table; the test excludes only the last fifteen. A dart thrown anywhere in fourteen centuries, and the bullseye drawn afterward.

VI. Selling the Signs

Then the purpose surfaces. The letters are "good news for believers" because "the believers who believe this video have the opportunity to use this information to their advantage, by investing appropriately or withdrawing the investments before those crises happen, and thus use the opportunity to avoid loses, get rich, give charity, and ultimately win." The Quranic Initials - which Rashad's translation calls proofs of the scripture on eight separate occasions - end their journey through Alban's system as a market-timing newsletter. Set beside it the footnote Rashad wrote on the messengers' parable: "God's messengers have proof, advocate God alone, and do not ask for money" (36:13-27) - and the Quran's own commandment: "Do not trade away My revelations for a cheap price" (2:41); "those who trade away GOD's covenant... for a cheap price... receive no share in the Hereafter" (3:77). Rashad, holding an actual proof, marked even his strong feeling about the Smoke's timing as a feeling: "Only God knows the exact time." Alban, holding a table that cannot reproduce its own first row, marks his guesses as God's decree, prints "maybe?" inside the decree, and closes with a stock tip. The user-facing difference between a prophet and a predictor is exactly here: one submits his words to God's arithmetic; the other submits God's words to his portfolio.

VII. What Survives - and What the Rest Is For

Peer review, given fully. The fourteen initial sets are listed correctly. The gematrical values in his table are computed correctly - Abjad arithmetic is real, and it is the same tool Rashad's proofs use. That the ancient letters doubled as numerals is true; that some of the pictogram etymologies are genuine scholarship (ayn an eye, mem water) is true; his critique of the "names of God" theory is sound and was Rashad's position first; and his insistence against group one - that the letters must be knowable - is correct. It was vindicated in 1974. Even his instinct that each initial connects in meaning to the statement beside it is, at bottom, Rashad's method - the difference being that Rashad's connection comes with a superhuman count (9899 = 19 x 521) and Alban's comes with an ox. That is this Clarification in one sentence: the true parts are Rashad's, the new parts are wrong, and the wrongness always bends the same direction - toward a calendar only Alban can read, anchored to a moment only Alban witnessed, verified by a pandemic that had already happened, and cashed out in investment advice. The initials meant something all along: this scripture is infallible - proven, counted, and signed. The rest is a man selling tickets to the margins of someone else's miracle: who is more evil than one who says, "I have received divine inspiration," when no such inspiration was given to him? (6:93)
